Ferriero Engineering is a civil engineering and surveying firm committed to providing high quality service to public and private clients throughout New Jersey. Ferriero Engineering was established in December, 1992, and has its offices located in Chester and Hopewell, New Jersey.

The focus of each project manager is to determine the fastest and most cost-effective approach to every element of each project. Paul W. Ferriero,
PE, PP, CME
LEED AP

Mr. Ferriero has over 25 years of experience in providing engineering services to Government and Private Development clients. While on active duty in the Army, he worked with the Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District. After returning to civilian practice, Paul has been the Municipal Engineer in a number of municipalities throughout northern and central New Jersey. He has completed a wide variety of roadway, bikeway, recreation, stormwater and sanitary sewer projects for his municipal clients. His private design work includes such large scale projects as the Toys R Us warehouse/distribution center in Mount Olive Township, Diamond Nation Baseball/Softball Training Facility in Raritan Township and Black Oak Golf Club in Long Valley.
Paul has an undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy and a masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a New Jersey licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Planner, a Certified Municipal Engineer, and a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C). He is also currently a vice president of the Board of the Randolph Area YMCA.

Robert C. Brightly

Mr. Brightly is a principal in the firm, having more than 25 of years of experience in the field of Civil and Municipal Engineering and has been employed by Ferriero Engineering since 1993. Mr. Brightly has extensive experience in all aspects of municipal engineering and since joining the firm has supervised the design and construction project management of more than 50 NJDOT Local Aid projects, recreational fields, and other capital improvements for our municipal clients.
Mr. Brightly has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. He is a licensed professional engineer and planner in the State of New Jersey and is also a Certified Municipal Engineer.

Mark S. Denisiuk
PE, CME
LEED AP 

Mark has been the design engineer on numerous engineering projects within the State of New Jersey. He is responsible for the design of site plans and subdivisions, municipal capital improvement projects, as well as the design and analysis of dams and stormwater management systems. He holds a MS in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a BS from the University of Montana. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey, a Certified Municipal Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Jess H. Symonds
PE
 

Mr. Symonds, was previously an employee and owner of Biggs Engineering Associates for 43 years prior to joining Ferriero Engineering in April 2018. He has a background in geotechnical and soils engineering. His experience also includes commercial site planning, residential subdivisions, environmental permitting, soil analysis and performance, footing, retaining wall and foundation design, bearing capacity and foundation reports, and on-site wastewater disposal systems. He has appeared before Planning Boards, Boards of Adjustment, Land Use Boards, Boards of Health and Town Councils on more than 350 occasions in Warren, Sussex, Morris, Somerset, Union, Essex and Hunterdon Counties for Applicants.
Mr. Symonds graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering – 1987, Professional Engineers License – 1989.

C. Richard Quamme
PE, CME
 

Rich has been lead engineer on numerous municipal engineering projects within several of the municipalities that Ferriero Engineering serves. He is responsible for design and oversight all aspects of municipal capital improvement projects including preparation of plans and specifications, bidding, contract administration and construction inspection.
He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey and a Certified Municipal Engineer.

Steven B. Bolio
PE, CME
 

Mr. Bolio has been employed by Ferriero Engineering since 2005. His main duties include review services for multiple municipal land use boards, and the management and design of municipal capital improvement projects, and the design of private residential and commercial projects. He is the representative for the Board Engineer for the Far Hills Land Use Board and the Chester Borough Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. He has appeared before land use boards throughout New Jersey and has secured site plan and subdivision approvals for numerous applicants.
Mr. Bolio has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey and a Certified Municipal Engineer.

Joseph S. Kosinski
PG, CFM
LEED AP
 

Mr. Kosinski has been responsible for all aspects of land development and municipal engineering projects from conceptual planning, hydraulic and hydrogeological investigations, design, inspection, and construction management. Mr. Kosinski has extensive experience conducting and evaluating subsurface investigations to characterize site conditions for the design of wastewater treatment and stormwater infiltration systems. Mr. Kosinski has been with the firm since 1999 and has provided expert testimony and reports on behalf of various federal agencies, municipal boards, and private sector clients for compliance with municipal ordinance, state, and federal regulations.
Mr. Kosinski has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Rutgers University. He is a licensed professional geologist in the State of Tennessee, a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

Mark W. Kataryniak
PE, PTOE
 

Mr. Kataryniak has over 25 years of professional experience in providing engineering design and consulting services to public and private development clients. In addition to his consulting experience, Mr. Kataryniak has served as in-house Municipal Engineer to Hopewell Township (Mercer County) and Edison Township. He has also been appointed to numerous land use boards throughout New Jersey as a professional engineer and traffic engineer. His project experience includes roadway, bikeway, stormwater, recreation and traffic signalization projects for municipal, county and state agencies. He has also represented municipal school boards and county colleges, providing design consulting and construction management services on a variety of facility, recreation and infrastructure improvement projects. His design experience for private clients includes site design and traffic engineering services for residential, commercial and industrial developers throughout New Jersey.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering NJIT/Newark College of Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and holds a Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. Mr. Kataryniak has been accepted as an expert witness by municipal land use boards and the NJ Superior Court in both Civil and Traffic Engineering, and has testified in over 50 New Jersey municipalities.

He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey.
